Purpose:

Canva is a free graphics design and publishing tool that you can use for all your visual communication needs, whether it be for professional documents for your studies or work, Instagram, YouTube, etc.

Come learn how to design something special with Canva! No prior experience is required.

Learning Objectives:

By the end of this workshop, you should be able to:

  • Sign up for Canva / Getting started with Canva;
  • Explore the various possibilities of free online template designs;
  • Navigate the Canva editor interface;
  • Create your design using: 
    • Styling and formatting;
    • Grouping and ungrouping;
    • Adding photos, animated graphics, and other design elements;
    • Layering and positioning;
    • Adding and arranging pages;
  • Save, export, and share your design;
  • Collaborate on a team design project, etc.
