Exploring AI-Powered NotebookLM for Research and Learning In-Person

Join us for an informative, hands-on session  “Exploring AI-Powered NotebookLM for Research and Learning" - your new AI-powered research assistant.


Purpose:

This session will introduce participants to Google NotebookLM, a powerful tool designed to support research and note-taking. It helps users work more efficiently with their own materials by enabling them to organize, explore, and extract insights from a variety of content types—including documents, transcripts, and articles. The training will focus on practical strategies for managing and synthesizing information from multiple sources, with the goal of enhancing effectiveness in both academic and professional tasks.

Learning Objectives:

Participants will:

  1. Create and manage notebooks using personal academic content (e.g., PDFs, Google Docs, transcripts).
  2. Interact with AI-generated insights through the Chat feature, with source-grounded responses.
  3. Generate and organize notes and study guides 
  4. Use Audio Overview to engage with content in multimodal formats.
  5. Apply NotebookLM in academic contexts, such as preparing lectures, studying for exams, or conducting research.
